The earth is trying to save itself. it is being destroyed by pollution and deforestation. The earth is a living , breathing , flowing entity. It understands when destruction is near. The earth endeavors to protect itself. It knows when rivers are pouring sewage into the oceans. Marine life is dying by the millions. It knows when carbon levels are to high in the atmosphere. Precious oxygen producing trees are being destroyed. Birds are dying by the millions breathing smoke from the burning forests. The earth protects itself from threats to its survival. its done so for millions of years. The earth is trying to eliminate the threat to its survival. The threat to earth is human beings. They destroy the trees for residential and commercial consruction They fill the atmosphere with florocarbons depleting the ozone layer. They pollute the rivers and oceans with sewage and septic contamination. The earth is trying protect itself , the only way it knows how , by eliminating the threat. It creates huge storms to level cities. The earth spreads viruses to destoy the threat of human beings. it creates earthquakes and sunamis. The earth causes volcanoes to erupt. All these remidies , the earth has done for millions of years , to protect its survival. We must Cherish this planet , and strive to save it.
